Nadia Malik is a costume and set designer, costume supervisor and costume maker. With theatre design and costume supervision experience dating back to 2002, Nadia’s work has encompassed new writing, original and adapted classics, opera, traditional folk dance, contemporary dance, musicals, period plays, site-specific and experimental devised work, live art and exhibitions.
After attaining a BA in Textile Design (1st class hons) she then designed lingerie and nightwear for high street stores in the UK and USA before completing an MA in Costume Design for Performance (distinction) at the University of the Arts London.
Through strong visual concepts and a collaborative approach to performance devising, Nadia’s costume and set designs create movement possibilities, enhance character and narrative development, and communicate meaning to audiences
