You are cordially invited to audition for an exciting role in Al Zaytouna’s latest production.
Al Zaytouna is currently working on a dance adaptation of Shakespeare’s Henry V, which aims to celebrate Palestinian culture and identity through music, dance and the spoken word. The adaptation, which is currently untitled, will highlight how Palestinian self-determination has led to considerable recognition of Palestinians’ right to exist and establish a free country.
A preview of the first draft of the show will be shared with a select audience in May, whilst the full production will debut in London in November.
We are currently looking for a committed actor to play the Chorus role, which will be spread throughout the production. Stage acting experience is required and the ability to dance/improvise physical scenes is desirable. Please note that this is a voluntary role that will suit an ambitious actor wishing to explore/develop their performance skills in this challenging experience. More details will be discussed during the audition.
Auditions will take place on Sunday 19th Feb at 1pm at Laban, Creekside SE8 3DZ. Please wear comfortable clothes as you may be required to do a small dance piece.
Please send your C.V and confirm your availability for the audition to Hadjer Nacer on firstname.lastname@example.org. We have very limited audition slots, so please RSVP by close of play on Wednesday 15th Feb to be considered for a place. Please call Hadjer on 07540929699 if you would like to discuss this role further.
