Al Zaytouna is a UK-based Palestinian theatre group which aims to provide diverse audiences the opportunity to experience Palestinian culture through a variety of dance and drama performances and workshops.

Formed in 2005, Al Zaytouna started with a simple mission: to promote Palestinian culture to the Western world, and to challenge perceptions of a nation often associated with conflict by the media.

Intertwined with dramatic presentations, traditional "dabke" dancing is fused with western influences, creating a unique contemporary style of performance.

Twice shortlisted for the Arab-British Culture and Society Award for its contribution to the British public's understanding of the Arab people, Al Zaytouna has a particular focus on themes of identity and exile, often exploring the meaning of Palestinian existence, especially outside the homeland.
